Summer on Hilton Head Island has a rhythm all its own with long, sun-filled days, busy bike paths, and a steady flow of visitors ready to explore it all on two wheels. For us, it’s the season when everything kicks into high gear. Rentals go out nonstop, repairs keep us on our toes, and guided rides fill the calendar. It’s a lot, but it’s exactly what we’re here for.
To keep up with the pace, we bring in extra support each year through our summer internship program, and this season, we’re getting ready to welcome nine new team members.
Now in its seventh year, the program has welcomed more than 70 interns, with many earning college credit along the way. But it’s more than just a summer job. Interns receive housing, full-time hours, and hands-on exposure to how a growing business operates, along with guidance on entrepreneurship and career development.
For us, the program ensures we can deliver the same level of service our riders count on, even during the busiest weeks of the year. For the interns, it’s a chance to dive into an industry they already love and gain real-world experience that goes well beyond the basics.
