Andrew Jenkins

Although he’s been biking pretty much his whole life, Andrew got serious about it in 2001 and started working as a bike mechanic. Now he knows about all aspects of fixing bikes, especially wheel building, and makes sure to keep up with changing bike-related technology. He hails from Central Ohio and has been in Hilton Head for 10 years. From here, he follows bike racing year-round and also admits to a true passion for college football.

Favorite restaurant: It’s a tie — Palmetto Bay Sun Rise Café and Skull Creek Boathouse

Paul Levy

A Hilton Head Islander for more than four decades, Paul has been with The Bike Doctor for 25 years. But he’s been biking nearly his entire life and can often be spotted on two wheels in and around Hilton Head Plantation, crossing park trails, and pedaling all over the island. He was an original partner at the initial Bike Doctor location and helped launch the bike rental program. Paul enjoys working with and supporting local roadies and collaborating with local nonprofits and clubs like Easy Riders and Kicking Asphalt, as well as individual triathletes.

Favorite restaurant: New York City Pizza

Maria Ireland

Maria lives in Bluffton and started riding seriously when she moved there 16 years ago. Since that time, she has participated in charity rides, including a three-day ride, with her husband and father. She’s a fan of almost any outdoor activity and likes to take long weekend trips to hike, camp, and of course, bike. Since receiving training at The Bike Doctor, she has enjoyed working on bikes at the professional level.

Favorite restaurant: Tin & Tallow (loves their burgers!)

John Davis

After a 45-year career in the bike business, John retired in 2022 then moved from Maryland to Hilton Head the following year. But he couldn’t stay away from the call of the open pavement and started working at The Bike Doctor part-time in 2024. His favorite ride is heading to Pinckney Island on the seat of a Ritchey Swiss Cross. He knows all about bikes, but he also boasts a good grasp on drumming, photography, and 80s New Wave.
